Based on the mechanics that look exactly the same as STH taunt mechanics, it seems that if you use the taunt while buff immunity is applied then chopper gets a permanent evasion bonus. This is the same problem STH has where he gives allies turn meter when hit if he used taunt while affected by buff immunity. Could a Dev please comment on this. Perhaps this will be fixed for both characters like the teebo/SA bug

This also ties into a potential problem where if every time you use his taunt with buff immunity or shock he gains 30 percent evasion permanently. This evasion bonus stacks and only expires on his special taunt's expiration. Thus under player control he could keep stacking evasion and have the equivalent to permanent foresight.

STH stops granting allies TM after 3 turns when his taunt would expire, I'd assume this is the same thing.

From what is shown it isn't. It only expires on removal of the taunt, death or end of the encounter.

Oh.... Are you sure? I could've sworn it had stopped at some point, maybe it was one of those weird times where Plo's basic double dispelled when it was dodged.

This isn't a bug. If your analysis is true it's simply laziness on behalf of the devs.

Sorry for confusion STH does have an expire after 4x turn end for the TM give while taking damage.

Chopper evasion doesn't, it is only removed on death, removal of taunt and end of encounter. This is just based on mechanics @ swgoh.gg.

I mean, it can't be that hard to put a turn timer on it, JKA's unique offense bonus expires after "Perform Move"

They can probably just add that same feature to Chopper as he only taunts for 1 turn anyways, so once he "Performs Move" the next turn that 1 turn will be over and the evasion bonus should go away if he hadn't had buff immunity/shock in the first place.

Or they could actually make the evasion bonus effect only be applied if he actually has the taunt buff active, which should be possible if they can make sith immune to critical hits while they have a stealth buff under a zeta maul lead. Which would also be a fix for STH as well. I could be wrong, but that could potentially fix things by using the same kind of code they have for other characters. Even if those are built into leader abilities it could work elsewhere right?

It has 2 potential fixes based on in game code, one like the Darth maul fix you described since that taunt has a special marker which could work for STH if they made his taunt not generic. The other fix is the sith trooper fix that checks for certain debuffs before taking action. Both could solve this problem that will crop up.

The problem with expiration after 1 turn is that it has the same inconsistency as STH, but for 1 turn instead of 3
