Yes, hoarding and reading the tea leaves is how you get ahead of the curve and get things first pass as a free player. This is generally the realm of long-time players who have little opportunity cost in doing so as they've exhausted most of the content in the game.

Resource management is not just optimal utilization. It's also saving and planning. Hoarding to achieve goals that are available in the future is valid.

If you forgo hoarding and instead go for an immediate utilization model, that's your decision, but the consequences are also on you. Those who hoarded and read the tea leaves will be ready before you no matter what. And unless the prereqs for the new event are already super ubiquitous (not a reasonable expectation), it will probably take you about three months to shift gears and get the prereqs, with node refreshes. In other words, one cycle. Two if you don't node refresh.

If you put yourself in a situation where it takes you three months to get ready and you get the character in three months, don't begrudge the people who put themselves in a situation to get it sooner. Preparedness accelerates goals, and that's fair.

I never said I begrudge the whales or any other player, I simply said it would be nice to now get our guy for those of us that didn’t do all of those things you just mentioned or whaled out. I’m not asking to reinvent the wheel, I’m not asking for handouts or sympathy or any of the things you’ve assumed by reading a couple sentences, I’m asking for the character that should be coming out....to come out. Not unreasonable, not something ridiculous, pretty simple really.

I think of him more with darth Revan because that’s the team you use him with but you’re right, he goes with jkr as well so I’m hoping that’s the case.

Regardless, D Revan just came around, and JKR is also required to do that event

You're complaining that we have Darth revan? Yes with malak he's the strongest he can be but it's still a great squad without malak.
