So why have I just been Relegated

I was promoted at the end of last month (just) from K4 to K3 then last week I had my score squished.


I've now had one battle in K3 (which I won btw) - and I get relegated - but still get the K3 payout????

    New GAC season = squish so even if you won you can get demoted

    I think the problems here are actually due to the "seasonal squish" just before this GAC started

    I'd guess that they changed it to ignore division threshold values - previously it was never sufficient to promote or relegate anyone

    Then they missed this in their testing

    Nope, division adjustments happen after each round. I was going to post the info page in game but someone already did.

    We just finished a round. We're going into Round 2, of the first "Event", of the current "Season"

    So I'd say it *is* WAI.

    There are seasons, events and rounds. Rounds are each battle, events are the week long set of 3 battles. It clearly says you can change divisions after each round.

    I don’t think it’s common that you get relegated after winning, but that is more a squish issue than anything else as it is possible to lose more points due to the squish than you would win in a single round.

    Why would they do that? It's not broken, it's working exactly as they said it would.

    If this was always the intended outcome - promotion or relegation after every battle - then this is the first GAC where this has been implemented.

    In the last event - I crossed the division points boundary 3 times (Up/Down/Up again)- but was only promoted after the event had finished

    How is moving between divisions between match ups a good idea? You move from Kyber 1 to Kyber 2, but are still playing with Kyber 1 players. You can't change brackets, so you shouldn't be changing divisions. I really don't understand the thinking behind some updates.....
