If two people in the same bracket win a round they should get the same rewards.
Do they not? Everything I've seen shows that the win/loss and end of week rewards are based on the division in which you start, and only the daily amount changes with your division changes. Seems pretty fair.
The win/loss is based on your division. Exactly my point. You start in the bracket, win a fight but get still relegated because of the squish or you lose and get relegated. Next fight you win in the same bracket of 1 division above you will only give you the rewards of your new, lower division for the win or if you lose for the loss.

Lots of assumptions here. It’s a fair attempt to make sense of a fundamentally irrational rule change - but it only works if you assume players in individual matches will always be in the same division. CG stated during the big changes that players would no longer be pooled in mixed division brackets & they’ve quietly pedalled back on that in this change with no explanation.
@Lumiya I think you’ve picked up on the underlying irrationality of this but you’re not getting far with it because too many people like to take a personal authority from defending other peoples rules (I don’t know why - maybe it makes them feel more important or grown up) - plus there’s a bit of a forum leitmotif of ‘git gud & stop whining’ - which is just the normal adolescent nonsense. Those that do try to helpfully make sense of it - (see above) are rare and noble souls, but still are going to struggle because it only makes sense if CG want to break the connection between brackets and divisions
Thank you @Wed_Santa ! ?"Wed_Santa;c-2353077" wrote:

You forgot to mention those that resort to personal attacks when their failed attempts at rational arguments and discussion gets them nowhere or they simply don't like when people have a different opinion.

I see. That's not what happens. Win/loss and end of event rewards are all based on whatever division you started in and do not change with your division changes. Only thing that changes is your daily rewards, which makes sense. - harvestmouse13 years agoSeasoned Ace

Did people who moved divisions, then won the second round, get the rewards from their new division for the win, or the division that they started the pool in?
As my screenshot shows, they got the win reward from the new division.
Looks like their whole complaint was getting lower rewards from the previous division....
Not only that. If you have lived with league systems your whole life, it's total bat$h!* daft to be relegated part way through the season.
Liverpool play Man C first game of the season in the Premier League. Liverpool win, Man C get relegated to the Championship, but still play Premier League teams.
If you're going to do this, what's the freaking point in divisions? Right now the League splits are a bit looney. If you're not going to respect the league system, just give out rewards on skill rating; then it makes sense.
However yes, different rewards is a major part too. - harvestmouse13 years agoSeasoned Ace

yes its fair because they earned it
Actually maybe not. There was a sandbagger in our bracket. The person who got the sandbagger first lost their next 2 matches, but got more rewards. "harvestmouse;c-2353119" wrote:

Maybe skill squish did not work as intended. Probably they want do downrank more player than uprank. So if you lose, you may get sorted down, but not always. If you win, you may get promoted, but not always. If in average more people are demoted than promoted, it is not so obvious.- thedrjojo3 years agoSeasoned Ace

You guys (developers) are inept. I got demoted from K2 to K3. Now if I am able to win a round I get K3 rewards and not K2 rewards, but I don't get to go against K3 level players and increase my chance of winning. Absolutely inept.
You are going against people with the exact same skill rating as you. Your level of competition didn't change - harvestmouse13 years agoSeasoned Ace

1. Yes, but for the next GAC you could be up against players that started in the same division, ended in the same division, but got better rewards for 4 days.
2. So if it's based on skill rating, what's the point on league and divisions? - TwstdByDsn3 years agoSeasoned AceI had been in Kyber3 for a while then got demoted to K4. No biggie. But now I lose one get demoted to 5, win one get promoted back to 4 and lost another and got demoted. I get that it's gonna happen but damn is it annoying.
