Why does everyone keep saying they get better rewards? Everything in this thread actually indicates that win and end of event rewards are all based on the starting division, not the current division.

Again no, you get the win rewards from you new division. If you get demoted you get the reward of the lower division for the next win that you scored in that Division. If you get promoted you get the win reward from that division.
I already posted a screenshot from this here before, maybe with all the comments you missed it

People were demoted and after they won they got the rewards from the lower new division.

I did not get win rewards from new division. I was promoted and got lower rewards twice. (See screenshot in previous post).

I think we talk around each other somehow. With new division I mean the division you have been promoted or relegated to, not the division you started in.
Works like this:
You start for example in Aurodium 3, win or lose a fight. For that fight you get the reward from Aurodium 3 and get relegated to Aurodium 4(I just use this example, works with promotion aswell of course)
Next round you win a fight and you get the reward from Aurodium 4 (that's what I mean with new division, because it's not the division you started in), because that is where you finished the fight and then you maybe get promoted again. Next fight gives you the rewards from the division you competed in.

Again, that's not what I experienced. I wonder if the people in that post were confused about where they were at the beginning. And one guy claims he got nothing at all?

You get the reward from the division you competed in. It has always been like this. End of GAC rewards also work the same. You get the rewards and are then promoted or relegated. It wouldn't make any sense otherwise. You also get the daily rewards from the division you are in.

No, the guy at the bottom said he started in k1, fell to k2, and got k2 rewards.

He said he fell from K1 to K2 and back to K1 and got only K2 rewards for the last fight he won in K2 which promoted him to K1 again. He said he is in the same boat. Which means he started in K1, fell down and only got K2 rewards. I provided that screenshot after the second round right when the new GAC started. So at that point everyone only had made 2 fights in the new season.
