Untill they cull and merge servers, which in a recent post, they opened the gate to saying that's something they might do in the future "with a 2 weeks notice"...

It's on this forum somewhere. Look up "leaderboards". I was using using some hyperbole to stress my point, but what was actually said was something to the effect that "there are NO separate physical "shards" or servers, players are just grouped by leaderboards. They have no intention to cull or merge or reshuffle them at this time, but if they do at some point, they will notify the players ahead of time"

What if boss said u get a raise for a couple of months but there won't be a product at the end of those two months because all the money went to the raises?
The better analogy would be if your boss decided to give you a $2 an hour raise for your 11 years of dedicated service, but gave the brand new guy a $12 raise because he was just starting out
