I'm definitely spending my GET3 currency on KAM even though like you I think he's not a must have character.
Other than there not being much else to spend GET3 on other than KAM and Kyrotechs I've had so many moments over the years playing the game where I underestimate a character, ignore farming them and suddenly and new meta make that character essential. Ebon Hawk for Executor, Vandor Chewie for Dash and Wampa and Hoda for JKL. I was caught months behind on all of those farms and struggled to make those squads work effectively without those key characters.
Long story short, I'm farming KAM so I future proof my roster.
