Stats from combined gear

I'm pretty sure I know the answer but looking for confirmation as I've never actually checked. If gear item A that is +100 health is made up of gear item B that is +75 health and gear C that is +75...

I'm looking at MK3 gel which doesn't have bad stats but looking at the 500 gear pieces it needs to make it it, it's about 10% of the combined gear stats.

Specifically I noticed that some pieces added base speed but the end piece didn't add any at all so wondered if it would get added when equipped. I knew it was too good to be true.
