I'll add a little color and also start by saying that at the end of the day it is still RNG, but I believe CG has increased the "valid" range for offense (and possibly speed). So while some still get a good RNG and breeze through, the bad RNG that one can get has become worse. Obviously it cannot be "proved" by individual experiences. But I can share personal examples from this TB.
In Zeffo Cere/Cal mission, IPD blows up and takes out my R9, well-6-dot-modded, full protection and health JKCK. (Cere was able to pull it off eventually)
In Felucia, Iden's basic one shots a full health/protection R9 Ezra. And she does back to back "push forward" aoe which hits like a monster truck. R9 GLAT failed the second wave for the first time in ages.
In Tatooine, Krayt dragon eats Grugu, and takes another turn right away, then two turns later eats BKM and takes the next turn right away. And btw we are talking about R9 Mandos and 280+ speed on them (was still able to finish with BAM in red).
In Haven, 50R-T AoE takes out full R9 full health/protrction Pirate team (Vane, Hondo, Brutus, SM), even gets PKHO himself to red. Again was able to pull it off as I saved the ultimate, but I have never seen 50R-T hitting this hard. (Other Haven missions also the soldiers hit way harder.)
In Mandalore, in three turns with lots of mass assists veers team kill a full health protection R9 Leia, that has keen stratagem on her.
I'm using the same teams as always, they are properly modded over years for TB (for sure there is always room for improvement), and reliced up to R9, and I'm having noticeably harder time than last TBs in a lot of missions.
