Store - Prevent accidental purchase

CG_Meathead Why is there not yes or no option when purchasing items from the store with crystals? I'm now also one of those players that did this cos store window opens in a stretching manner, I clicked on the credits stuff and it moved me to crystals. Please fix this, since I know CG does not care to refund it. This is so bad. 640 crystals for stupid Vane shards, I'm so upset.

  • You already have to choose twice to purchase the item. Once to select it, and then to buy on its own individual pop-up screen. That should be enough.

That's not what OP is really talking about.

It’s happened to me a few times already that clicking too quickly (at least in the PC version) opens the wrong purchase window, and another click that’s too fast results in an unintended purchase for at least 640 crystals, with no way to correct it. Well, don’t tell me it’s my own fault. Clicking quickly in a game where you do the same thing hundreds of times a day shouldn’t be punished like that. This needs to be fixed!

You have described it as your own fault. You have literally stated that you are clicking too fast to pay attention to what is happening. This is categorically not a problem with the game, but a lackadaisical attitude to spending of resources. If you consider these resources to be so important that you don’t want to spend them accidentally then you perhaps you should consider whether the manner in which you play the game matches that.

It is DEFINITELY a problem of the game, when the wrong window opens, even if you're clicking the right one, sorry guy. No matter how fast you click, you're still doing the right thing, And yes, I pay attention since it happened to me 3 or 4 times within a short period. Telling me not considering poor game programming in advance without knowing is my own fault is a rather strange way of regarding things. And since many other players are concerned by this it MUST be fixed.

There already is a safeguard against accidental purchases. You are choosing to ignore/override/bypass this safeguard by clicking without paying attention. No matter what happens beforehand, you are still taking that second step. That is, objectively, your problem.

With the behaviour you are describing, why would a second, third, fourth, etc check make any difference? There are actual issues with the game which need fixing. Your inattention is not, however, their responsibility.

  • Considering that most websites/businesses have that function where they give you that option to select yes or no on purchases to verify your purchase, it isn’t much to ask for.

I definitely clicked on the free stuff, it's that stretching the screen animation, so weird. I play on 75hz  so aminations are a lot quicker than if you play on 60, this includes character animations as well. At least they could organize stores a bit, since there are multiple store to purchase stuff for crystals, one can lose track where is what.

Not responding to attention seekers who smooch each other's *** and like each other's post. I'm just going to skip over that, for all the others I will absolutely replay and do appreciate their take on the matter as well as them taking the time to type it out. Cheers.

They already have this. When you click on an item to purchase it, it comes up with a second screen with the item as the only option. This pop-up has a purchase option (which states the currency and the amount) or the red cross in a corner. That is your yes/no screen. It already exists, it’s not the fault of CG if you choose to ignore what it’s saying and automatically just click to buy.

It’s the same tactic that scam websites use to rip off customers. Whether it’s intentional or not makes no difference. You select the right item and then accidentally confirm the wrong one. Sorry again, Guy. And this problem has only been around for a few months—in nine years of playing, it’s never happened to me before, and now it’s happened several times in a row. I’m not claiming there’s any intent behind it. But here, customers are being misled and making purchases they did not intend to make. Failing to rectify or compensate for this would be completely unprofessional.
