Rare gear is rare for a reason, to slow gearing up characters down. If everyone could have all the gear immediately, everyone would jump to end game very quickly. So i think 50 gears is a bit much, or even 20. Maybe 10 at a time and hit them where it really hurts $50,000 each.

I'm not opposed to having more variety in the shop gear wise. I'm tired of buying gear i already have hundreds of.

Please stop using credits for multiple currencies, reserve that term for actual yellow money.
