You're missing the point. the OP is neither moaning or whining about his particular team, he's raising a very valid point that this is something that has the potential to throw the game completely off balance.
Let me take another, more striking, similar example. Let's say there's a secondary that adds 1m health. Very, very powerful and very very rare. That would basically mean this: whoever gets that mod never gets to lose a battle ever. Pure lottery. The OP says (and I say too): "This is bad for the game, it's neither fun, fair, properly rewarding, it's just... random.", What you say is: "This is not, bad, just buy more lottery tickets until you get one yourself".
If I complain about a toon being too powerful, then you're right: Tell me I should farm that toon. There are ways to do this (nodes, tokens, packs,...) and I can use them, and ultimately I'll get my toon and will be happy that it's powerful (or notice it's not as powerful as I hoped it to be). But here, there's no way I can farm
that mod. I can farm mods for a year, and ultimately I'll give up the game frustrated I didn't get it.
