2. On the surface I agree, but it is the taunt first that makes the team I mentioned an instant win on defense 9/10 times.
3. I agree 100% with this. I suggest a much more than "mild" reductions in secondary stats, specifically speed. Speed should be capped at 3-5 per mod as a secondary stat or removed altogether.
4. I understand what you are saying but no other team is a balance issue like the double tanks speed AOE team is. It breaks the game and needs to be addressed somehow.
You guys complain too much.
Use Rex lead and watch aoe teams melt... Or use droids as someone mentioned before or used your own Biggs + Anakin + B2 to gain tm and disrupt chain of action or use a number of other viable strategies...
Tldr be creative instead of blaming the game.
Ok be honest, my understanding is that you run one of these teams. (Wedge, Poe, anakin, STH and lando). How many times do you have to battle to maintain 1st? If you run the same team as doktor shin I would guess between zero and 1. Be honest.
I do not run wiggs team , and am at first spot in my shard for a few days in a row, and there are some wiggs team...
I just gotta think of solutions to beat them... With more than 75 toons available in game each with very specific skills, u just need a bit of creativity but it's not that hard...
Let's be real here. Not every player has access to that many characters, not only that but some of the best characters are gated by high dollar cost, then the matter of gearing them which requires some luck and money. The team combinations change frequently enough that this isn't always practical or feasible. So to say "be creative it's not that hard" is garbage. I don't agree whatsoever with the OP's solution but your post isn't helpful either. I'm sure you've spent plenty of money on this game to have your full roster, but that doesn't mean you can say "everything is fine shut up and l2p". There are issues with balance in this game and speed is one of the biggest culprits... If not, then a heck of a lot more characters would be viable. Some of us have to spend a lot of money on his game for it to be successful but that doesn't mean it should be balanced around owning 75 maxed out characters.
if you don't have 75 maxed out characters you shouldn't expect to beat people that do or to be as flexible as they are.
If you don't have 75 maxed out characters, u probably have specialized in a specific gameplay : counter, aoe, speed dps, dodge...
So you will win battles against ppl that use teams that are weak against you team, and you will loose to people that are strong against your team.
So 2 cases here.
You are a big whale and have maxed rooster... Don't cry about speed stat, cause you have flexibility to find very good alternatives to beat faster teams or you can be fast yourself
You are not a big whale then
1) you can't expect to beat the big whales... Yeah game isn't balanced between a ftp or a whale ... It's about time payers that sponsor this game get a small advantage
2) you can perfectly defend and attack team that are as invested in the game as you.
So saying the game isn't balanced because ftp can't beat whale is **** cause it's normal
Saying game isn't balance because a whale can't beat a whale means there is a lack of creativity cause there are tons of way to beat any team
Saying game is t balanced because ftp can't beat another ftp isn't true cause as a ftp you will have had to make choices on your progression that will allow you to beat some specific teams by loose to others
So in my opinion there is no balance issue at all regarding any stat
Do you remember that characters were balanced based on speed earlier this year, because it was recognized as a problem? There are 91 characters available in the game right now - how many of those characters are viable in a competitive server? I don't know about you but I see roughly the same 20 characters at the top 10. You can add speed mods to slow characters but when everyone just stacks speed on the fast characters, what's the point? I've had Darth Maul at 7* since February and how many times have I been able to use him in arena? I want to use these other more interesting characters that I paid money for but I can't because speed is a problem.
Speed has more weight and power than any other stat in this game. I'm not trying to attack you, I'm just trying to point out that there is something wrong. I also have contributed a great deal of money to this game and I have access to plenty of characters, granted I spent my money poorly without understanding how much of a lottery the chromium packs are, and I'm a late comer to the game, but I stay top 10.
Let me give you an example...
If my whole team could go before yours but deal damage only to harm 1/3 of your toon hp... You wouldn't say speed is op, cause you'd be able to have a turn and use some specials of the toons u prefer and eventually win the battle.
The issue is right now with rebels , not only can they go fast but they also deal TONS of damage...
This is why I tell you the issue isn't the speed, it's the damage...
Ok you guys like number let's take numbers...
A toon with awesome speed and set can get +100 speed... On a Poe that's 70% increase and let's be honest from those 100, only 50% come from secondary so overall good secondary give increase of 35 % of speed pre mod...
Now with mods crit damage went from 150 to 216% and with at least 6% offense up... That's a 52% damage increase on crit... And with crit chance u can improve crit chance by 20/30%
So clearly damage went through the roof... I can kill any toon with 3 Lando turn... Is that normal???
So if anything people should complain about damage increase that goes against the whole protection addition that happened in April, instead of speed that has always be part of the game and that can at least now (by tweaking it with mods) can allow different arena composition instead of always the same qgj Rey RG gs sthan...
