You need to send those droids to a check-up because they have an oil spill somewhere. The droid team i've fought seems to completely opposite of what you're trying to sell to me. Maybe it's just my imagination that droids are OP...Nope!
B2 maybe. I'm on a february shard. Whale on my shard was lvl 80 like two weeks after the cap lift. And he has been droids, droids, droids from day one. He has nice mods. He has invested in no other toons than droids. But he doesn't have B2. BEFORE the armor adjustment yeah. Speed killed. The speed race was on. When my JE was faster I killed him. When his was faster, his team killed me with AI. After, it didn't matter. On offense the slower je droid team almost always wins, anyway. I beat his (and all the other 3 droid teams in my top 10) with almost anything. Yeah droids still win on offense. Just like any non synergy rey plus two taunter plus qgj team. Just like rex team. But now they are total garbage on D.
Since the armor adjustment, if u can't beat a JE droid team (without B2) on offense, well...I don't think ur trying very hard. Two tanks. And a decent dps. Evasion lead is a bonus. Ur gravy. If u got max gear, u can beat JE droids with almost any 5 arena worthy toons.
Now here's my rub. 1. They were much better before the last patch. 2. They can no longer have the slightest chance to beat a lot of teams. 3. Everything can beat them. That last part u can disagree with. Maybe ur shard has B2.
My mods are pretty decent for my shard. Not the best on my server, but not too far behind. That's moot. Even the whale droid team on my shard is total garbage; he got the crit damage sets. The 17 speed secondaries.... blah, blah. He has to sub in qgj just to sometimes beat anni lead. And I can easily beat any of his configurations with a non synergy two droid team... with QGJ, STH, and RG.. just like all the phasma/Ben/Dooku boys, even though I don't got Rey. Or my inferior JE droid team. I have never lost to any droid team with QGJ/RG/ST Han on my team, since the armor update, ever. Last battle against droid whale, I lost 86 before I had a turn. And I still won.
Please share with me, what is YOUR squad? I got max gear, minus one syringe on 88 and one cuff on JE on my main 4 droids. I got my choice of Magna G10, RG*, ST Han*, QGJ*, Nebit G9 (*= completely maxed). It don't matter who the fifth. All these squads were awesome before the update. All are ducks, after.
I got all 5 dot health mods with plenty of speed secondaries.. fastest on my shard. Crit damage primary on the triangles.
JE droids (without B2) are barely functional. Get a droid team for yourself and find out how bad they are. There are so many hard counters that will defend against you 100%. (Aayla, 5's, Rex, Fac, Anni.... and even Rex and Fac are not unobtainium anymore). But there are practically no teams that can't beat you on offense.
Speed is not OP. Droids are not OP. Pay toons are OP.
