My best team so far is HK 7*(L) paired up with IG88 7*, IG 86 7*, Poe 6* and Old Daka/Poggle7*
Constantly under top 50. The only teams who are hard are the ones with a poe who has the luck to come first or teams with extremeley high spd like Qui Gon (L), yoda, count and sid.
Sometimes I let Daka play because sid does his AoE and as soon Poe provocates she heals everyone and they are on their turn with full health. Plus the freezing later on.
As soon as i have poe maxed out i want to try Qui Gon (L), yoda, lumi, old ben and poe. Extremeley high speed with poe provocating and turn meter reduction and ben fpr turn meter reduction and ability block. And QuiGons ability to make an opponents Poe useless. I guess it would be a pretty hard team.
For that i have to max out old ben and barriss first to get yoda maxed out.
And as soon as i have this team i will give a shot to Phasma (L), FO Pilot, Kylo, Poe and Lumi/Old daka. If no one dies before Poes turn, the opponents will get destroyed in seconds. Poe provocates, and then the Pilot strikes one enemy pretty much down, Kylo gives AoE and gets Counter, phasma lowers their Spd, Old daka or Lumi either heal or strike to freeze/ability block, and before the next round poe maybe dies but phasma gives them all turnmeter and advantage (which godly boosts the tie pilot. Only bullshit is that it takes a lot of time to get the tie pilot high enough (i also couldnt fight with not maxed out droids because of their lack of health.
Those are all teams who should be also pretty strong when AI-played.
Poe is for me absolutely necessary cause of the turn meter and provocation (pkus now he will get to lvl 72 tomorrow which gives him another 600! of health and 40 power). No tank like him. Before i had to play with Chewie and he was absolutely shit. Everyone died before his turn. And i like the old daka because of freezing and rebirth. Only problem is that she doesnt always gets it. But sometimes my droids strike hardly. The opponents healer gets ability block, i can out all of em easily. and she even gets poe back to life and i win 5:0.
But i imagine Qui Gon, Lumi, Yoda, Poe, Ben also to be extreme tough and even stronger as the droid team when it comes to defending when ai played
