- @Yesac -- The thing you can do to help the most right now is to help them figure out the optimal way to increase overall GP, since that helps with the overall completion. Pyrefly put up a very helpful google doc with information on how to do it.
- You can play territory battles without Hoth Rebel Soldier.
Hoth Rebel Soldier will be useful in maximizing a few of the available side missions.
There are parts of this game I don't maximize: Guild Activities with 36 GW nodes, 20 Challenges, top 5 in fleet arena. I'm still getting along fine.
My guild didn't complete heroic AAT for at least 4 months or so. We eventually joined with some to get it on farm. My life did not end in the meantime for not having GK. I also stayed at the top 5 in arena the entire time.
Take a second. Breathe.
Getting Hoth Rebel Soldier in 6 months will not end your life. (Hint: Refresh his node once a day and you'll get 3 - 4 shards a day.) There will be plenty for you to do in the meantime. - Any guilds excited here to hurry up and wait for your players to farm hrsoldier for the next year?
As leaders and officers it ain't right to be telling folks that pay to play this game to sacrifice their arena farming and fun for one toon that is a gate imo. But if we don't demand players to farm him then we are hurting all other members in guild which ain't right imo too. "warmonkey;c-1233253" wrote:

This is a bit overdramatic isn't it? I'm sure most of the members in guilds that are driven enough to demand certain farms from their members have their arena teams in order. It's also not like farming HRSoldier takes alot of effort or resources, it just takes time.
It's not that different from raids either. I'm in a quite casual guild so we would never demand certain farms from members, but alot of us "sacrificed" other farms in order to be able to clear the heroic tier of both raids. One slight difference is that everyone benefits equally from the efforts of individual players, unlike raids. That's the downside of equal rewards. A small price to pay imo, but then again, i chose to be in a casual guild so my oppinion might differ from others their oppinions.
I get what you're saying, it puts the leadership of fanatic guilds in a somewhat unfavourable position having to impose farms on their members, but it's not like their arena rank is going to plummet because of it. Heck, it's probably even beneficial for the guild it's members in the long run.- You guys are all so far behind.
Start farming dark side and nightsisters now. When the Dathomir territory battles comes out, you'll be ready. "Nikoms565;c-1233230" wrote:

TB undermines that. There is no way for me to help get my guild to the top level of play without simply saying, "Every day, farm this one terrible toon that nobody ever wanted, and in half a year you can help in the 7* battle."
So what you liked most before this event was being able to tell everyone what they should do, and now that they get to make decisions on their own you're discontented?
Wow. Way to completely and totally miss the entire point. I'll give you credit for one thing though...you can sure build a heck of a strawman.
You wrote a Vox article about why you don't want people to have to prioritize their energy because then they won't be going for the predefined characters you told them are important.
Everyone thinks everything they do is noble and good and pure. But we all like being the font of knowledge, so when things change people get defensive because it means they won't be the experts anymore. Doesn't mean things shouldn't change."Dretzle;c-1233306" wrote:

If I was a Dev, I would do that. Especially when there are many people calling "Make Nightsisters Great!"
At least if there was a Dathomir TB, they'd be relevant. So far, they're fodder, and the only source of usefulness is an Omega Battle. Even that is just half.
Even if they weren't considering time and effort for a Nightsisters rework, giving them an edge in TB, where Jedi and Clones are secondary would help.
IMO, no Toon created should be without a use somewhere in the game. Unfortunately there are many. Whenever TB is fully functional with multiple planets, it's going to be great for the useless Toons.
With the recent Ewok faction boost with new Toons, it won't surprise me, they'd be heavily relied upon for an Endor TB sooner, rather than later.
As it stands now, it's great that so many people are farming 2 Toons no one care about, from one of the most iconic battles in the Star Wars films."NicWester;c-1233309" wrote:

I didn't write anything - the poster you were replying to wasn't me. You can't argue both sides. In the other thread you posted a "noble" story about your guild being made up of lesser players who are real life friends and friends they brought in and that people are more important than progress - and yet in this thread you rip the guild leader who is basically suggesting the same. Pick a lane."Dretzle;c-1233306" wrote:

I was actually just going to suggest that. Considering we measure both character farms and the content release cadence in months, mostly ignoring Hoth, and focusing on the no-name worthless darkside characters should put you in a pretty good position for the next one. Though, they'll probably add GL 12 requirements to it.- Man I am so tired of basically being told what characters to do. These chars are garbage. What's next? Nightsister initiate and ugnaught? It's getting ridiculous.
