We all saw this coming. Rancor heroic was a joke. It didn't require a large group of whales so people built weaker guilds. We knew the day would come where having lots of top players together would be important...and lucky enough many of our members stuck together even when they weren't incentivised to do so.
I suggest guilds look at strengthening themselves. Make a second guild for newer members who are still growing their roster but get your main guild as strong as you can.
The disparity I see is the health difference between a normal and a heroic tank raid.
From hearing the numbers I think the p2 of the normal has as much heath as the entire heroic.
Yes the heroic should have less overall health since there is no roster refresh.
As you stated only the "strong" guilds will be able to run the heroics, and will be doing so at a rate of 2 or 3 a week. Over time sure it will come down.
Weaker guilds will have to run the normal and I can honestly say I see it taking some guilds 2 weeks to complete 1 normal tank raid. So with the lower tiered raids already giving lower rewards and running less often is even slower progression.
Running a normal and getting some parts of new gear is better than nothing so if my guild needs to stay running normals so be it.
The heroic may be fun but I can say I see the normal turning into a daily send 5 characters in to auto till it is done.
Maybe this is all as intended but raids overall, both of them are a huge let down.
