Thank you @CG_Carrie for your contributions to this game and community. 3+ years on this game is longer than any game I've ever played.

Definitely not the same thing. Perhaps she misspoke and left out a would...as in "I expect that a new player would have to spend 5k to catch up". Either way, it makes sense. Clash of Clan accounts and Swgoh accounts have been selling for 1,000's for years. Why should a brand new player expect to install the game and instantly be able to compete with the guys who have grinded this game for close to 4 years? Heck the new players already have so many more ways to obtain shards and gear than we did starting out.

Even though she wasn't truly a community manager, she was the best one this game has had. Unfortunately, she made the mistake of being too honest and assumed people would take certain quotes in context instead of focusing on a sentence or two that will trigger the masses.

Good luck to her and I don't blame her for moving on. There are too many complainers that exist and you can never please everyone.
