First, i completely agree that the coliseum is lame and boring beyond belief and anything era specific is an abject failure. BUT……….
The idea that synergies and kit interactions and strategies are dead is laughable. Phoenix is going to still kill inquisitors just not at r3, same for traya vs many many teams.
Synergies and kit interactions will still overcome poorly constructed teams. R10 won’t be an I win relic level. All this sky is falling is so reminiscent when cg changed gac. All those players that purposefully built streamlined rosters to gain an advantage were so mad.
The reality is r3 phoenix beating inquisitors shouldn’t have happened. It was poor design and all these teams/units/whatever that will be hurt by relic delta will be replaced with other counters. Some will not even be replaced just will need to add a few/several relic levels.
Change is scary and if the change isn’t your cup of tea well that sucks, but come on there is just as much strategy now as there was monday.
So you think being able to power through the highest tier of assault battles with damage done by healers is good? That's how things should work? Change is fine. What's happening here is not positive change. It's prioritizing stats over strategies, which is just blatantly bad game design and bad game balance. There's a word for games like that. It's bad.

which assault battle? the ones that have been out for years and never were more than a stat check? the new ones which provide no challenge if you meet the req? There has been nothing in the pve area that really called for strategy in years. not reva. maybe KAM but that was just a stat check too. This game has always been checkers not chess when it comes to pve. As for pvp, your complaint reminds me of an old guild mate who couldn’t understand why his padme squad at r7 when it was max would lose to gls.
you may not like the fact that more gear works better now, but in a resource management game it is a valid strategy. what doesn’t make sense from a design perspective is one marquee elevating a cheap and easy squad with low zeta requirements into a hardish counter for team requiring guild involvement to get a tb unit, after leveling five units to r7 one of which required leveling a sixth unit to r5.
get over yourself and make the strategic decisions with your resources necessary to increase your success rate in pvp As for pve who cares if old content got easier? Every game needs to do that in order to allow newer players to achieve success at a faster rate.
