I just did R2 7-star with Palp(L), Thrawm, RG, TFP and Tarkin. Except for Thrawn, they are crap geared, as you can see:https://swgoh.gg/u/lantador/collection/?f=empireKey (for me): Stunlock/fracture R2, kill Han, Luke, Leia as fast as you can, kill R2, leave Ben and Chewie for last. I needed 5-8 tries for good RNG in the start (ie., you dont want Thrawn or Palp stunlocked out of the match the first rounds, till you can get your fracture/stuns rolling).When I got the first two DPS (I killed Han, then Luke) out of the picture, it was smooth sailing. Use Thrawns protection-heal wisely, and keep the defense up from RG up - even if it means you lose him (I lost him right before I killed Luke).The fight is all about control.Good luck.

I ran EP lead G8, Vader g10, Tarkin g10, TFP g10, and RG g8 all 7*. Got it my second try cause EP got put in a time out the first time. Took out Han, Leia, Luke, R2, then Ben and chewy. Just gotta get lucky I guess.

I did it today with gear 11 Emporer (L), gear 9 Vader, gear 8 Tarkin, gear 8 TFP, gear 8 RG.Total power about 66k. Took me 2-3 times, but finally beat it with 3 toons left (Emp, Vader, TFP). Advice I got on a previous thread was key: Use TFP if you can since he's so fast, and the most important was take out R2 first or super early. Tried it taking out others first and was dominated. Took out R2 first or second, the whole team fell quickly after. RG is key cuz of his taunts and stun.

If you go to old thread from time of last R2 event, most said "take out R2 first." Once you defeat him the others will fall quickly. They were right.

Your EP isn’t fast enough for one. I beat it with EP g9, Vader g10, magmatrooper Tarkin and RG g8, but it was tough and I had to remod palp to 200 speed and 60% potency. Use Vader to ability block Chewbacca so he doesn’t taunt and use Aoe’s as much as you can while targeting R2

Contrary to popular advice, I started with a fracture on Chewie and the killed off Han, Luke and Leia, before turning my attention to R2. It does require you to be able to withstand the beating R2 deals out, but at the same time it minimizes your exposure to lame taunts.

I used: G9 Thrawn (L), G10 EP, G10 Vader, G8 Tarkin, G8 TFP.
All with decent mods, speed around 200 and all omegas on Thrawn, EP and Vader. No omegas on Tarkin or TFP. I was left with EP, Vader and Thrawn still standing and around 75% health.

TFP makes Chewie's and Ben's taunts useless.

Killing R2 first definitely made the difference for me.

OP is not anywhere close to a TFP and doesn't have Thrawn.

Anyhoo - @Bosshog44, I just beat it with your same squad. Moved around some mods but mostly it was just lucky RNG in regards to their stuns and mine. Took a long time, but it's possible. Good luck.

I think the team you have definitely has a shot. Go with palp lead. Retreat if palp gets stunned first. Stun as much as possible, obviously. Shock on R2 helps whittle him down. I shocked Leia to prevent stealth. Shocking others may help palp get the TM ball rolling. Han was my first kill with culling blade. Used Vader to ability block Obi-Wan.

I did it with g9 Palpatine, g8 Vader, TFP, Tarkin, RG and mediocre mods on everyone but palp. It took me maybe 10 times, but with the right RNG, it's doable.

I forgot shock also prevents stealth. It's like the Empire was made to defeat the Rebels*.

Well, it can't be impossible, because lots of us did, including me, and I haven't spent a cent on this game. And you have better gear and mods than I did.

Though I might say that if you don't have Palpatine, it might be close to impossible. What squad are you using?
