Lets face it Empire teams were complete garbage before the update there were so many other teams that were more useful like an evasion team or a Rebel team but now it does not look like that anymore. With the rise of Palpatine it seems like the Empire will be a dominating team against a lot of players especially Jedi and Rebel teams. How do you guys feel about this? Will Palpatine change the meta with the rest of the Empire like Darth Vader, RG and SnowTrooper?

i have 6* tarkin, 5* vader 4* veers 4* RG 4* stormtrooper while not great its got me to beat Empire mod battle Tier 2 so not too shabby

They may be viable now. The meta is evolving to needing multiple arena teams since it seems every team has a weakness. I will say that outside of his leader ability, palpatine may not be that great of toon. It looks like to get great damage/functinality it will require multiple steps. AI usually plays toons that require multiple steps (hello yoda) like trash....

People will be surprised how much Palpatine is bringing to the table, dare I say The Empire is about to Strike Back.

I can't wait until I have Tarkin fully geared. So far Palpatine+Vader makes Vader a force to be feared. Not only does he gain turn meter per dot but mine also gets 7K health back PER DOT (and per ability block on his basic too.) That makes him a closer at the end of a match as good as 5's ever was with more damage potential.

Yes, that would probably make a difference for sure. However, I found that if I can keep Palpatine alive, he is begins to control the game in round 2+. Rex may be a hard counter but I am not sure Yoda is, after his tenacity buff wears off, a lot of stunning and TM happens.
