I’m arguing with Kyno that ground platoons 3&4 only ever contain empire toons, never marquees, and he’s citing this post as proof that marquees can appear in platoon 3 or 4.

It's funny that you are arguing with me, but ok.
He is clearly stating that platoons 1,2,3,4 and 6 had marquee toons. Since there are no marquee toons in phases 1-3, I'm not sure how this could have been "not what he meant", but sure.
I have only been presenting what has been stated by the dev team, or in this case not. There is no official statement that no marquee toons are placed in any platoon, and that any instances where this is the case is a coincidence. Maybe I wrong and I haven't seen it. Sure, I dont really care to disagree with you about this, I dont pay attention to platoons that much any more because I just dont expect to fill them. I think I've seen it, you haven't, got it.
We also just ran phase 6 with no marquee toons in out platoons for the lower zone. Seems pretty random to me, but I'm sure you want to argue that too.
