I have brought this up in the past but I seriously feel like omicrons really have fallen off lately. What used to be a chance to give tired and outdated toons some niche use have now become a nuisance because every new toon gets one or two while old toons haven't recieved one in a long time. I remember when qui gon was so broken that they had to rework him with his omicron now it's like the devs forgot that older toons still deserve some love
I just find the concept of making omicrons exclusive to new toons nowadays a step back. I mean qui gon was one of the noteworthy old school toons who got his time to shine again before his omicron had to be nerfed and it seems like what started as an easy "rework" has been forgotten about.
Not sure if I personally care enough to see Jawa, Snowtrooper, Wedge & Biggs, Ugnaught, or Imperial Tie Fighter Pilot with Omnicrons. I prefer a Stormtrooper Luke release and kit reworks, like Lobot, over Omnicrons.
But lots have players have old toons unlocked and levelled / geared up. The developers want the playerbase to chase the new shiny, not to have old investments made current again.
