This is the real meta, and it needs a nerf

To me, lockouts wouldn't matter if my arena team could play as well as I can when it defends. Knowing it's easier to defeat the "ai" when on the offensive, lockouts and colluding have evolved to protect the stupid defense.

It sucks being on the wrong end of it. That being said, perhaps it would have been better to be a team player rather than attacking people outside of the accepted group's code of conduct.

This is why people collude in the first place. There's always that one arsebag that snipes people outside of their own payout, and communicating with your fellow shardmates prevents this from happening.

@Nebulous @benacrow yeah, I'm curious about this part of the OP's story as well. I'm in a chat with 8 people from my server and no one minds being attacked as long as it's after their payout.

Exactly. Right now I just fight during the hour or 2 before payout, get my rank in, then wait 22 hours until doing the same the next day. It has kept me sane during the other b.s. this game throws at us lol.

Honestly if I wasn't communicating with my shardmates, I'd have quit a long time ago.

it was a chat with 4 other people, it was during droid meta. in order to break into top 10, i had to break past a segment of 3 rex leads and one of the people in the group chat, who used a terrible team that i could beat in 60 seconds. his payout was after ours, maybe 30min later or an hour idk. i took him out to vault over the rex leads and get to #1, otherwise it would have been impossible. but every time i used him to jump into the top ranks, he would message into chat crying that i hit him. i didn't feel like dealing with him whining whenever i wanted to get to rank 1, so i left. the other guy was fine with me hitting him, and then i had the other 2 cycling rank 1-3. I also could not stand the emojis for a lock.

the other huge problem, we agreed on rotating top 3, but then they kept kicking me out of rank 1 whenever possible and locking 1/2 for themselves. they were just unbearable people

Sounds like you had a bad trip lol. And what was that, 12 months ago? Probably more? Get in touch with them again. Most people nowadays just want to get arena done with and avoid as many problematic scenarios as possible.

Save about three bucks a day by colluding. Collusion is lousy as it creates a clique on the shard and the non-communicators get left out. Me personally, I still don't know the definition of shard mate, and if there is a chat group on my shard, which there is most assuredly, I wasn't invited and don't want to be. I'll pay the three bucks and not take the easy route for a few free crystals.

Payout Collusion: A true thing of beauty. Don't hate, imitate. You all have the same opportunity to form your own group of collusionists.

This is the only thing preventing me to invest more on high-end of arena squad.

In my arena, there are many dumb-ass people who spend crystals for lock-out which results in 0 profit on crystals. So why bother for arena? I'm easily 3-5th, and who benefits most among other locking-out stupids.
