Thoughts on (Rumored) Shard Exchange

My 2 cents worth are:
- Characters you have at 7* should be removed from any shard draws - be it Chromium, Bronzium or shards that drop in Galactic War or future equivalents. I think they should also be taken out of shipments and replaced with another character
- If you have any shards that are not committed - i.e. that are not already upgraded into the character - you should be able to exchange them 1:1 for shards of an equal rarity character. There could also be an option for 'upgrading' to a higher rarity character at a slight hit. Not 8:1 as I saw some proposing, but I think it should be a point system. A 1* shard is worth 1 point - a 2* shard is worth 2 points, etc. If you draw a chromium pack and pull 12 shards of a 1* character you could effectively exchange it for 3 shards of a 4* character. This would allow you to still get use out of all shards you receive, while not rewarding players for farming cheap / easy characters to try to upgrade the shards.
- If people want a way to completely "cash in" existing characters and turn them into shards, it could be based on the same rate the game gives you if you draw a dupe character - meaning that if you cash in a 1* character you'd get 7 shards, etc. This rate should be based on the star level your character is at - not what it's base is - otherwise it's penalizing you for the upgrades you've already done
- Lastly - I really hope that they do not put in place any way to trade with other users. The reason that I say this is because once you can do that, this game will move to the secondary market - meaning that you will be able to buy / sell shards, characters, gear on eBay and other similar venues. Not only would this take money directly out of EA's pockets by allowing users to buy from other users instead of buying gems in game, it would also change the dynamics of the game to make everything based on a monetary value - completely ruining the game, at least for me.
