Tired of playing above bracket matchups

Please fix this. 3 of our last 4 matchups have been against guilds in higher brackets. Roughly they were:

118 vs 124
119 vs 126
120 vs 134
and our current TW of 119 vs 126.

We're down one player, and setting a full 25 defenses against a guild 7 mil stronger than us. So this means that they have full participation and the defensive banners are not rounding down as they're supposed to.

All of those numbers are active GP. We know this because we've won the previous 3 TW. The down 14 mil gp matchup was incredibly frustrating. Their entire guild had GP higher than our guild median. How is that balanced? Are we being punished because consistently win in TW?

This is incredibly frustrating because at this bracket, the losers for each TW are getting as many zetas as our guild for winning. The continued lack of fixing of this situation, by either keeping matchups in the same bracket or having both guilds play for the same rewards is incredibly discouraging.

  • Having the opportunity to play for the rewards as your opponent in TW doesn't seem to be too much to ask for.

Just because match ups are made irrespective of rewards bracket, doesn't mean prevent the rewards being the same after match ups are set.

No one is going to think that’s fair to hand out higher rewards if your guild doesn’t qualify for the bracket.

Actually, several people who have posted in this thread and other threads in the TW subforum seem to think that it IS fair if they're forced to play guilds who have rewards in a higher bracket.
  • Lol, if you want the higher rewards payout, then build up into that reward bracket, . . . . . . .
  • And further more, the hang up over what the other crew does or does not get is frankly hilarious, .. on many levels,
  • What if the devs have some kind of formula involving "average GP growth per month" or "time to reach the first row of progress guilds". Then think of a factor like "average spending/player in a guild between x and y GP" and you will have some kind of concept that a company has to follow to keep generating casflow. Changes like giving out zeta materials as a daily login bonus speed up the game and reduce the time you need to play to reach the top end of the content. I am certain the devs are monitoring all those statistics and sticking to some kind of concept. Reaching a 125M checkpoint will allow the respective guild to enter a new step of planned-ahead growth. Some seemingly trivial change can influence the greater picture of the game that we simply dont know of. I mean if I were CG, i wouldnt want to publish it aswell.

As for my personal oppinion i think OP is totally correct. However the changes might be, clarification and communication are the key to keep away frustration as ppl have different concepts of competition in this game.

Either way i welcome any changes that enable mid-GP players like myself to close some distance to reaching somewhat untouched content.
  • Dont get me wrong please. The daily login bonus was an example as to what plan i believe to exist. The TW point is my personal oppinion and yeah - i like the concept of bestowing zetas to guilds that invest much time before and during a TW. If your lucky enough to get a higher bracketed guild as the opponent, youre somewhat forced into the higher bracket imho and should be rewarded for your "impressing effort to earn a win".

Now im switching back from personal oppinion to objectivity: We as the player base dont have full information on this matter and thus all we can do is speculate. And again i support OPs humble request for clarification.
  • Contradictions aren't "partial." There is either a contradiction or there's not.

Nailed it. Even something as simple as "Yeah guys, we're still monitoring matchups and making note of all your comments" would go a long way toward calming the discontent.
  • Only someone who couldn't pass introductory logic thinks contradictions are "partial."
