No. Sid is horrible. He might be viable to beat the low DS nodes but definitely not worth putting effort in. Unless you get him for free I wouldn't farm him

Sid is good for newer players as he has heal immunity to prevent healing characters from healing the enemy team. Early in the game you also don't have access to high dps characters that outdamage healing characters, so sid is a godsend in that regard.

In the late game, sid has too little damage and hp in comparison to other characters. His skill kit isn't as good as others late-game and his chance of inflicting heal immunity is low because of low potency. potency determines the chance of inflicting a debuff on a character. Darth sidious's potency is zero even at maxed level and gear.

Start farming Rey shards as soon as possible if you can, she can carry any team through just about everything in this game. Not only that but she is also a cool person and will return lost light-sabers :)

Yea on my level he just roflstomps everyone that's why I though he was good

Rey and QGJ are a must. I prefer Old Ben as a lead but the Count does great too. ST Han or RG are the best Taunters. Move away from a healer and use another attacker instead.

I know RG and Daka are a nice combo too. I would not count Daka as a healer, her ability to stun at high gear levels is very useful.

It depends on what you want out of the game. If you want to play to be like everyone else and climb in the arena easily, then get Dooku/Old Ben, QGJ, Rey, RG, and GS. Your team will be meta and look like everyone else and you will probably be able to beat most teams.

However, if you want to build a thematic team, don't be afraid to be different. You can be successful with a Rebel, droid, Jedi, or Ewok team too (oh, and clones if you are willing to pay for it). People might "target" your team in the arena because you are different, but at least you will have made a team that you want, not what everyone told you to make.

Whatever you do, make sure you decide early on and then commit to focusing on building that team instead of collecting, leveling, and gearing too many characters. It's not Pokemon, you don't have to catch them all.

As for me, I run Anakin (L), Qui-Gonn Jin, Ima-Gun Di, Yoda, and Old Ben...all F2P and I am in the top ten in my arena, hitting the top two for three of the last five days. So don't let people tell you that you can't run "so and so" team. I committed to Jedi early on and put all my resources on them (always had the 21 day pack of crystals), getting ahead of the competition on my shard by being focused on that team.
