Reality is, you can have 2 people with the same GP and their rosters could be vastly different.
For TBs, the goal was to "inflate" GP by activating toons, taking them to level 50 and sticking 5-dot mods on them. Those toons will not help you very much (if at all) in TWs.
For TWs, its about having a roster of viable toons who are well geared and modded and have their abilities maxed out as much as possible (ie. Omega and Zeta mats).
It took a bit of time for our guild to adjust to TWs, but we finally got our first win this last TWs after working on building up select toons for teams that are useful in TWs.
