I don’t think this is completely true. I looked at my guilds active GP before I joined and then after I joined. It added my entire inventory GP, not just those units that can participate.
Add: Unless the matchmaking is doing it behind the scenes. I’d like to point out that I’m not complaining about it being broken. How can one really say it’s broke if you don’t even know how it’s suppose to work? If someone would explain it, maybe some of these complaints would cease. All we know is that it’s a variety of factors. Very vague.
While I am not sure of the reasoning, I would speculate that they will never share the details of matching to prevent guilds from gaming the system.
And the complaints never cease......never.
