I am inclined to think the diversity part is a natural byproduct. It is what will happen when people start getting what are ultimately the latest and best pvp toons/squads. If some of these squads end up decidedly better than others, it will end same as it was before. With wiggs and rex instead of droids and rex as it was for the last month or two. And old ben and rex, as it was before that.
If things were better balanced, the wiggs phenom might also be a fad, and the pendulum could swing back towards EP/droids. I personally don't believe that can be the case..... due to defense.
