Then you understand the rules given by the Devs: Uniques can NOT function after death unless specifically stated.

Edit: And ignoring the first part which is obvious trolling, Leader dying and passing the mantle to next in command might be an interesting mechanic. In terms of current meta, it would help out Dark Side more with so many of them having Leadership abilities compared to Light Side which has more Uniques than Leadership abilities.
