Then you understand the rules given by the Devs: Uniques can NOT function after death.
Uniques cannot function after death if the boost given by this unique was effective during lifetime of the toon. It's how it's working now.
Uniques that are applied ONLY after death are different. Otherwise, those uniques are really unuseful since they could never apply.
