Upcoming Events: Droid Smuggling

With our next update towards the end of the month we will be introducing a "brother" event to Credit Heist focused on acquiring Training Droids. The Event will be called "Training Droid Smuggling" and like the Heist will require a team of scoundrels. Droid Smuggling will have a similar but not identical schedule to Credit Heist (15 hours timer, appears randomly). The update after that, I will be removing the droid event that costs energy (since it is used in the tutorial, it's not super simple to just "turn it off"). This event will have tiers at 30, 50, 70, & 80 with rewards as follows:

  • T1 (30): 10-22 training droids, 1 mk1 ability material
  • T2 (50): 10-22 training droids (higher rarity then T1), chance at either mk 1 or mk 2 ability material
  • T3 (70): 10-22 training droids (higher rarity then T2), chance at either mk 1, mk 2, or mk 3 ability material
  • T4 (80): 10-22 training droids (higher rarity then T3), chance at either mk 1, mk 2, mk 3, or Omega ability material

My question to all of you is: given the rewards listed, and the prerequisites (scoundrels) would you participate in this regularly?

  • Great job on the new scoundrel events and the other small details in this latest update! The addition of IG-88 and STH are sure going to help a lot of people with this event. I have both of those characters maxed out, gear 8 Cad Bane, and an under geared/leveled Lando and Boba and was able to clear the highest tier with relative ease. It looks to be that the general population is happy with this and these updates are moving in the right direction.

The only minor downside that some are expressing are the fact that not everyone has scoundrels but the characters I've mentioned above (besides Boba) are great characters and easy to get. Other thing that I see some complaining about is the whole RNG aspect of the credits dropping. Lastly, the only one I somewhat agree with, are the gear that are dropped in this event. The gear that drops is gear that I have several hundred pieces of and there are other types of purple gear that are more scarce.

Overall, most of the concerns people have for this new event I think are frivolous. This month has been an amazing month in terms of updates and I feel the energy moving in this game again. Keep up the great work!
  • The feedback so far is incredibly positive around this event. I wonder whether there could be an achievement for 3 starring the hardest tier? Right now there as long as you get through it you get the same chances at rewards.

Yes. I have always thought this. I love that some events drop gear, but it is typically gear that many have stockpiled. That would be my main suggestion for any event dropping gear, should be purple gear that you need 20-50 of that is not dropped in challenges even if it is only a couple pieces it make the rewards just better.
