I actually like it very much in the team selection menu aswell. One of the few modes i actually select toons manually is GW, and you guessed it, that's where you can actually use the characters you're working on.
For all the other modes i've got squads pre-selected. And even if i have to select a character or two manually, scrolling past 5 or so favourite toons isn't going to be the end of the world. Actually, the added filters make it even easier than it was before.
I honestly don't know how you can hate on this aspect of the update. In most scenarios i can come up with it's easier now than it used to be.
Except that in TW, you're squads are often broken up by necessity.
I use "favorites" for toons I am farming/gearing. They are not always on the same teams nor on teams I necessarily run in GW. While some might find the new "feature" of automatically shoving favorites to the top of every possible roster list, some of us had used it based on the previous UI design. The ability to toggle this new "feature" off would have been a nice option for those of us who used it based on the existing UI.
The squad selector was already a much better way to pick teams for basically all game modes. The real question is, having had that for a year, why are you not using it? And, really, if you aren't, just use the filters.
You didn't even actually read the post you quoted, did you?
I use the squad selector. But that's not how I use favorites. I get that not everyone uses favorites the same way....which is why an option in the settings to use the new "favorites on top" or not use it woukd have been better. Sorry that everyone doesn't use the UI the same way you do.
No, I did. You were complaining about selecting teams in TW. Use the squad selector or filters, and then it doesn't matter where favorites show up.
You said you used the UI the way it was... well, duh, so did everyone else. Now it is different, so use it that way.
I don't disagree that having a setting to set the default behavior would be a bad thing, but you're making a mountain out of a molehill here.
Why is offering feedback (which you agree with, apparently) "making a mountain"? Lol.
