Vader tie advanced not reinflicting target lock

Pretty frequently, enemy ships will lose their target lock while the tie advanced is still in the battle

Does anyone know if this is a bug? The only way it isn't a bug is if the reinflicting target lock can be resisted, has anyone seen it resisted?

Or seen it specifically disappear and it wasn't resisted
