Tarkin def needs some loving. He's my top geared 7* character (was my first 7*, too) and even at GX, his damage is disappointing.
I have to disagree on your last point, because I am still holding out hope for the addition of Thrawn into the game.(And while I'm at the wistful thinking, maybe The Chimaera as a flagship.)
