Well, the forum is incredibly slow and clunky to use. The old forum wasn't as pretty, but at least it was fast.Also, UI-wise, the background image from the main forum page doesn't persist through to subforums. Like you see here, it's this white sharded background image, not the SWGOH hologalaxy.Also, moar profile pictures from SWGOH pls. I'm sure you'd want to be a Tusken, and I want to be Commander Cody.

Needing to log in all the time is annoying, and the fact that it takes me to a Sims forum is even worse

I don't see a way to sort/find "official" posts from the dev team. I knew a kit reveal came, but it was just buried down with a bunch of other "random" posts. So, either a good way to only get stuff from Capital Games Team or a separate area for official posts like that would be nice.

There's very little sense of organization here - I'm guessing that will be improved over time - but this feels very much like "minimum viable product" and it's not performing as efficiently or intuitively as the original forums (which weren't perfect but were highly functional, in spite of the spam filter eating edited posts). Perhaps some of that is learning curve, but I don't think that's the whole of it. It does look clean when everything is loaded but the constant reloading to be able to see all replies in a thread is not the best experience. I feel like pagination works a bit better for thread navigation than the constant need to click "show more" - and the "show more" prompts would be a little less irritating if the next set of replies were pre-cached instead of needing a full page reload every time. Perhaps loading more replies per "show more" click would help - but really I think pre-caching is the right strategy.I think this bar should stay at the top with the EA banner to make navigation between different areas of the forums easier. It's not great to have to scroll back up through a zillion replies to get back to this: Or perhaps that could be handled with a child menu here:Also, regarding these objects on the right side of the screen:For those items to be of more value and usefulness, perhaps a select couple of them could stay on-screen when the user scrolls down. As it is now, on the desktop site those things scroll away as you read replies and nearly half of the page is dead space - meanwhile I'm reading responses with progressively smaller and smaller screen width until it's a small minority of screen real estate that's used to deliver information with vast swaths of dead space on either side.The reddit style of generating child replies to comments is not my favorite way of reading things - it encourages rabbit holes of off-topic discussion which ultimately take you out of the context of the original post and make it difficult to stay focused on the subject matter at hand. This is a drastic deviation from the original forums and while it's certainly not a deal breaker - and while I'm already somewhat accustomed to that format on reddit - it's just not my favorite way to consume textual conversation. As an aside - I hope the powers that be won't try to make these forums any more like reddit than they have to be - that format encourages toxicity and mob mentality and it isn't a healthy format for productive discussion. If that's what you all wanted, reddit already did all the work for you - and the players that want that have already established a hive there.As has been mentioned already, dark mode would be great - but I understand you all are working on that so thank you.Overall I appreciate the clean aesthetic and the work and effort that has gone into the new forums. I look forward to continued improvements on the site. I'm having issues with the new forum on my phone. I click the link in the old forum's post and it just went blank. I can't see anything. There is a notice saying "a client-side exception has occured. " Why is this happening?

maybe its the nostalgia or its the fear of change in general but so far I do not like this new forum.
lack of dark mode is the first main thing, then the topic areas look less like separate topics and more like a chat list, every topic looks like it would be a reply to a main thing, the 2 color gradients separate each topic was nice. inside post themselves like here also have a small separation between chats helping to separate
also topics only featuring the title and not the first sentences either which IMO helped make it look less like replies. (maybe the alternating colors or topics will help this)

and sorry idk where else to put this a general feedback post would have been good to get people's opinions

Couple of questions:
Why have posts from random community members been migrated and yet the area for developer posts is completely empty. I am far more interested in dev posts being available. This is especially true if we will lose access to the old forums.
