SWGOH 2025 Wish List In Order of Importance. I will give the problem and offer a solution that is realistic while keeping the amount of time and resources by CG responsible as well.
- Territory Wars-This mode is great for building relationships with your guild mates. However, currently it is being abused by players that are ruining the experience. There are too many guilds that manipulate the current system to match against other guilds that are significantly unpowered. This causes the lower guild to have only 1-5 players that can actually participate on offense. The match making needs to be reimagined. The rewards are stale and There is only one map, which causes the mode to be stale My Soultions: Change TW Guild Matchmaking to GP per guild members. This wont be a complete solution to the problem but it will make it more difficult for people to manipulate the system. A Guild at 200mil GP with 25 active players is lightyears stronger than a Guild at 200mil GP with 40 Members. To be exact it is a 8mil per person vs 5 mil person. In terms of characters, that is like 3 GLs per person vs 0-1 GLs per person. It is an impossible match. The Rewards should be on rotation, add in hard to achieve character shards. Add in some conquest shards for the winning team at higher GP, Add in some ship shards for lower GP guilds. Carter the rewards better for the GP bracket being played. Introduce new maps, 3v3 map? Ships First Matches? Different layouts that requires guilds to make a conscious decision on which path to take to victory that also have paths that leads you away from the main battle but could score massive points if you take it over but making that decision is a huge resource commitment.
- GAC- GAC is unbearable for new players. There are players with 5-8 GLs in bronze and chromium. New Players can't enjoy this game mode. While I know skills and game knowledge does play a heavy role in GAC this is effectively teaching new players GL or bust because they don't have access to a lot of different teams. My Solution: GAC matchmaking priority needs to be tweaked. Maybe focus on Rank than GP then number of GL on Roster. This would help players get paired up with people as close as possible to their current GP and Roster quality. Maybe implement rotating GL limit GAC Tournaments? Max TWO GLs , Max 3, Unlimited GLs, ect. Your Rank shouldn't be a primary a reflection of your GLs and I understand this is like this in higher ranks but brining this mentality to the lower ranks will create a positive experience for your player base that are more prone to quiting.
- Events-Events like Smugglers Run should be consolidated into one event with multiple levels. It is very discouraging to see an rotating event that requires a GL. The frequency of an event that requires a GL shouldn't be this high. The fear of dedicating the resources of Jabba in order to participate in this event only for it to disappear immediately afterwards is massive. My Solution Consolidated more events into one event so that you can implement a wider variety of events in a month without overtuning the rewards. Smugglers Run 3 should not be a separate event by doing so it is just a indirect tool to increase the gap between new players and old.
- Collecting Ship Shards: I understand that there are significantly less ships in the game and that they should be somewhat difficult to obtain however the current difficulty of collecting ships is a big hurdle for new players and is one of the worst experiences in the game. People literally quit because of this. The biggest issue is because ships play a HUGE role in TBs and GAC. Without 7-Star ships you can't deploy them in most TBs. The very FIRST TB could take a player years before they can deploy ships in all the zones. That is the FIRST TB the entry level TB. It is impossible to win in GAC without a strong Capital ship. My Solution I really dont have one. I understand that he difficult position of making ships to easy to obtain with a limited inventory of ships. However, I am sure there is a happy middle somewhere. Right now ships are the most unenjoyable part of the game. It is not fun to spend 400 energy collecting ships just to get 1 or 2 shards a day.
- Galactic Legenda Ultimates: Locking the ultimates behind an event they are required to do 10 times that also requires expensive resources is a bad experience for newer players and is just another unnecessary barrier preventing them from closing the gap. My Solution: Keep the requirements for new or 2-3 year old GLs but lower it for older GLs. Getting 6 zetas is already challenging enough for new players. Keeping new players around should be a priority.
- Galactic Legends Galactic Power- GLs GP currently does not reflect the impact they have on your roster. These individual GP's should be increased if everything else I mentioned isn't changed. My Solution If you increase the GPs of GLs to properly reflect their impact on your roster. It would indirectly fix a lot of the match making issues with the game. an 8 mil roster with 2 GLs is not equal to an 8 mil roster with 5-6 GLs. This forces all players to collect the same toons the same way and punishes players who want to prioritize collecting their favorite characters. This is a bad experience for new players and mid game players.
