No they would not for arena. If you stick to just scoundrels boba Lando Han STH and 5th probably wouldn't get you far.
Those 4 are useful elsewhere though so it's not hard to invest in them.
Also I think my Luke and zChewie can auto the rancor if you need a few good laughs.
