What counts as "positive status effects" with QGJ?

QGJ is supposed to remove all postage status effects. No matter how many battles, in any cantina, GW, Arena, or D/L battles...my QGJ does not remove with his Humbling Blow: Taunt, Offense Up, Evasi...

He never removes Defense Up for me. Taunt and a few others, yes. But never Defense Up. So either it is a huge bug or they need to explain it better.
