- Kaerindal2 years agoNew ScoutActive GP is used, not the GP of the whole clan. If one side doesnt have as many people sign up theyll have lower active GP
- GP not only factor anymore. Win 2 get a tough matchup, lose 2 and get a cupcake.
- Just need your guild to go back dropping 70m+ active GP to avoid the bigger guilds.
- nottenst2 years agoSeasoned AceNo one really knows what they are doing with match-making in TW. It is quite inconsistent. They have not explained it in ages despite complaints.
The general rule mentioned above "Win 2 get a tough matchup, lose 2 and get a cupcake." holds a good percentage of the time but I've seen guilds that have won at least their past 8 TWs and they don't appear to be getting tough matches. - That win 2 lose 2 factor.. not sure if it’s any true or pure bias.
There’s guilds with very good TW records and don’t think it’s simply luck.
Don’t know how it works past 380m, is there active gp still a thing? or can a 400m active gp be paired against 500m active gp?
Regarding matchmaking, probably something like gac, based on skill rating would be good. Allowing guilds that do really good at their gp range to push for better rewards. - Persimius2 years agoSeasoned Ace

It's true, but it's more a guideline than a rule. MM takes into account W/L streak, GP, number signed up, and probably some other stuff they haven't mentioned. Safe assumption is the guilds with very good TW records are either just that good, sandbag every war, or are just that lucky. - MasterSeedy2 years agoSeasoned AceWhen you get over 550Mgp, there aren't many "tougher matchups" that you can get if you win consistently. So "Win 2, get a tough matchup" doesn't work well there.
Likewise when you're in a very low-end guild. (What is a low-end guild these days? 80Mgp?) Only at that end it's hard to give you a cupcake.
But they do try to do that. Obviously there are some other factors or you wouldn't see guilds with 11 win streaks, but it's neither strongly GP based the way some people like (or fear) nor is it entirely skill-rating based the way GAC operates. "Bigfish_Aus;c-2448558" wrote:

Not sure that is a wise move. Rewards will be based on the GP so a higher losing GP may be better than a lower winning GP reward wise.
Phantoms Menace is at 498m with 48 members. They could drop 100m GP and still be over the 380m GP mark for highest rank rewards. What do you think why sandbagging is so common?- What I fail to understand about sandbagging is, what happens with the players that don’t participate and don’t get rewards? they happily agree?

Some guilds make it you do your kitten or don't join (mine is one of them), leads to a sandbag all the time cause TW rewards are minimal.
I do 2/4 a month, did 0 for a long time and missing the rewards don't really hurt.
