In Ep I,
Did Obi-Wan told Maul that he had the high ground?
In Ep II,
Did he told Jango and Dooku that he had the high ground?
In Ep III,
Did he told Dooku and Grievous that he had the high ground?
Come to the point, he told it Anakin because the distance between Obi-Wan and Anakin was very long and Obi-Wan knew that to kill him, Anakin will use The attack.
