Disney is going to take legends and slowly redo the story by building of the old lore because it makes it easier then coming up with 100% new story, by adding in more of the old lore into the new canon they can easy the legends fans into being okay with some of the newer lore, though because of how far back in the lore kotor, kotor 2 and swtor goes i feel they should just add it back canon
