KOTOR happened 3000 something years ago! and is highly based during an era when there is many sith and many Jedi, all of whom are dead now, except for the 3 other Jedi floating around in Rebels somehow. when all the Rebels were order sixty six'd that WAS the wipe or sure looked like a wipe and had the smell and feel of a wipe.

and if they wanted to wipe it then why not just MAKE A NEW PLANET with it's OWN UNIQUE name? it's can't be that difficult. that's called doing it themselves on purpose and suggests they aren't trying to avoid anything.

as for the paying to do what they want, of course they can. and of course they can alienate their fan base and drop STAR WARS in the dumps and get a reputation for going downhill and the company that ruined a cult franchise

What don't you understand? If they wanted to make a backstory for a plot, character, location, etc. They'd have to weave in and out of legends or it'd be a contradiction. Now they are free to re-write the past to fit into future events.

Also they are rehashing planets, characters, and plots as fan service to give a nod to fans like you who enjoy those stories. You should be happy they didn't just wipe everything and forget it ever existed.

what don't you understand? nothing from 3000+ years ago would mess with ANY BACK story many of which are already written. did Bastila Shan somehow wreck the Skywalker line because her family line existed? uh, no. as I said no weaving required. THAT is why BioWare went soo far into the past. NOTHING in the modern STAR WARS universe is going to backstory to 3000 something years ago unless it is done on purpose which is not required. that is what on purpose means. same way they named that planet a name ON PURPOSE when they could have named it ANYTHING else. hello? how do you not get that? it could have been Tatoonie III or something. they chose names already created on purpose. if you want to wipe and avoid don't go using existing names from existing stories. that's pretty easy logic

.....You are not getting the point. What if they wanted to change the way the mandalorian war went so it could line up with who rey is. What if they want to make an animated show of something 3000 years ago, they would be restricted because kotor already done that. Now they are free to change the past to fit with how they want the story to move forward. If you are not cool with that, then dude idk what to tell you, but it is what it is. You honestly just have to get over it.

We don't know for sure they die. Some of them could survive. Kanan I could see dieing but it's possible that they could make Ezra turn to the dark side. I could also see Sibene having future.

Probably not gonna have the helmet as they apparently like to have named characters show their faces whenever possible. Also, she'll be the season 3 (or 4 if they don't release her until season 4 is airing) Sabine as one of the Devs stated they had to use whatever the characters are like in the current airing season, so they wouldn't be able to use season 1 Kanan, but only season 3 kanan where he is blind (Just an example).

if they said this then it is one of the DUMBEST things they've said. just add it to the list. ANYWAYS, so the point is the minor digital animated characters get better treatment than the characters who actually made STAR WARS what it is? everyone does realize without Luke and the likes there would be no STAR WARS Rebels or it would be a pale shadow of what it is period.

as for Bossk, I believe part of it is he was a popular figure to collect. you couldn't have all the bounty hunters without having Bossk. further on that point is the game actually has the TWO worst LEAST collected bounty hunters but not Bossk? uh, Dengar but not Bossk? yeah, ok then. not to mention the game has a challenge labeled "Bounty Hunter" right?

personally I prefer rebels and I like Star Wars Rebels but even I think they are a ridiculous choice compared to all the MAIN CORE characters they have left out of the game and GEEZ, the 40th is coming? hope this isn't what they're doing for that.

also the arguments their holding back main core characters is ridiculous. the game has been out plenty long enough and IS labeled a STAR WARS game. you either have a unique game with no main stream characters such as KOTOR or SWTOR or you include the the main core characters if you're making a game with any canon characters. I mean really, how long do they have to tease us with Luke Skywalker as an actual Jedi on the splash screen and as a boss in the game for it to be worth it?

@thegh0st They said it was only for currently airing TV shows. Because Rebels is still currently airing, Disney wants the games to release current and relevant characters, not the characters from 2 seasons ago. They want to get people to watch the show to its extent and they do this by releasing characters in the current arc.

It's not the character's last airing, it's solely for the Rebels TV show because of how come it is currently airing.

again, you're just arguing or pointing at something to point at it. all your logic is flawed. if you get the point or not is questionable but I tend to think you do and you just enjoy playing devil's advocate.

why would they just want or feel a need for something to specifically go back 3000 years? some all being all necessary story element can't exist 2000 years? or 5000 years in the past? what could require exactly 3000 something non-specific years ago that KOTOR is ruining? nothing. period. I don't know what to tell you. if you are chosing 3000 something non specific years ago as the era it's because KOTOR put the thought there. otherwise they wouldn't want to do a story at that specific time. sure maybe it would have randomly happened but I wouldn't believe it.

and uh, there can't be more than one war? or some historical mistakes with what say, all of the Jedi (well most) being killed and the Jedi temple being sacked and probably looted? not to mention, what is the quote? something along the lines of the victor writes history so you could explain away anything as the sith having lied about something or other.

The last 2 pages of the thread was about someone saying they don't like rebel characters, but they do like Kotor characters. Then another person says that they like rebel characters but don't like Kotor characters.

What does comparing an old RPG game to an on-going modern animated show have to do with whether you like the characters or not.
