What to spend crystals on after energy refreshes?

Is it worth spending crystals on kyrotech or gear? After spending crystals on energy refreshes I still have a small net income of crystals every day. With things like GAC event rewards and other thing...

That Profundity event hit me hard. I had over 110K before the event. Slowly working my way back.
