What was the purpose of "fixing" Kylo's escape?

because they like to be inconsistent. it didnt affect anything but create an inconsistency. they now say its not an ability so that his reset wont affect it. but ability block still blocks it which means its still an ability. just makes us waste more time and they chose to do that instead of fixing real bugs that negatively affect players.
