I adressed these points in my original post but let me reiterate them:
The vast majority of players don't have access to Palp and ST. Palp event is very rare and since i joined in 30 Nov i didn't see any ST event while wedge is easy to farm.
Secondly to get Palp you need strong rebel team, probably better than the dark team you are running. While that may be feasible for high level players is close to impossible for lower players (lack of credits, droids and energy).
And frankly I shouldn't have to be OBLIGATED to have a strong rebel team to develop my dark team.
Most of the players I fight in my shard have 6-7 * rebels and a few undeveloped dark toons, while I have only managed to raise at 6 * Bobba and TFP because i have to put more that half of my resources in light characters.
So not only they are OP, i actually have to fight against more developed toons because they can afford to put most of their resources in the toons they are running.
