A few things I’ve noticed with the game as of late…To get anywhere, you need to buy. I find myself constantly buying upgrades just to keep up with other players. Even then I feel like I’m miles behind!On the same note… Paying £20-£80 a month for conquest and episode passes is ridiculous. It should be a one time purchase not monthly!The squad arena is also pointless at this stage for me. I’m ranked at like #324 yet every opponent has galactic legends and ridiculous squads making it impossible to actually win anything! I have over 100 relic amplified characters ranging from Relic 3-9 and yet I can do fiddly squat!The new Era content is shocking. I managed to get Luke to 4 star (62/65 shards) and L17. Once you get past first phase in the colosseum, you don’t stand a chance of completing phase 2. I can also only get past the first level of the Era challenge. They took away the ability to earn shards and still waiting for the new Maul to be released. Just throwing money at something with zero progression.Don’t even get me started on sim tokens. You accumulate hundreds of thousands of them and use like 50 a day. Pointless having that level of tokens when you barely use them. You should be able to buy stuff with them or trade them in!Last observation, wouldn’t it be cool if you could trade characters with people or trade characters for light speed tokens?What are your thoughts? Should CG be taking what their loyal cash cows are saying on board and make some decent changes to the game?

Most games that I tried/played that has a "battlepass" gives you a good base when you get it. It's usually a good commitment to help the game to develop while getting a good boost to keep up things, in this game it's not that way, the pass is just a poor people thing.No idea where CG took the idea that bullying people to spend so much money each 15 days was a good plan. It's not required to play the game, but it has a big impact in the new game mode (and it will also have in the following new game modes), so it makes the game feel worse for players that are not willing to spend a crazy amount of game in a mobile game.I think that their focus is in trying to get new players willing to spend some money, even if they don't stay long in the game, the goal is to get money as fast as possible. That's why they have this soft reset of the Era each 3 months where the work done goes to the legacy and the focus will be again in new characters, Era rankings and burning money to get those characters up to rank well to get the currency for R10 or Lightspeed tokens.

Nonsense. You can progress with spending anything. You can progress quicker by spending.All players have a choice: be patient, or spend money.Yes, the era content is poor but your take on spending is down to you, not because the game requires it.

I wouldn’t say it’s nonsense. I’ve been playing the game for 5 years and if I hadn’t bought stuff, I’d probably only have a couple of Relic amplified characters. I know you can still progress without spending money, but it’s snails pace.I don’t buy as much as others because at the end of the day it’s a game, people need to eat 😂 But it’s obvious that those who spend a lot of money on the game are so much further ahead than others and coming up against them in squad/fleet arena or battle arena, you don’t stand a chance once you hit a certain rank…

Well said! It’s a gold mine for CG. Yes they have to make a wage but based on the number of players and average spend, they’ll be raking it in! It’s not about Star Wars or it being a tactical game anymore, it’s a money pit. They’re basically the Disney of the Star Wars franchise, stick to the classics. If CG were a character, they’d be Jar Jar Binks!

Where do I begin?

A few things I’ve noticed with the game as of late…

I can assure you it’s my only account, I don’t hide behind other accounts. I have a busy life and when I do get what little downtime I have, I like to check new things out. You’ve made me feel really welcome though so thank you 🙄

Ignore what everyone else is doing and track your own progress, like going to the gym, if you compare to others youre never gonna feel good if you just started out. Although if you've been playing for 5 years, im not sure how or why youre struggling as thats double the time ive played for and im fairly happy with my progress 😬
Im also not sure where youre getting upto £80 a month from for episode and conquest passes. I see no reason to stretch beyond the 19.99 EP and the 9.99 CP.
The game is designed to be a frustrating slow grind, thats how they get their players to give up their money. There's some great guides kicking about that show the most efficient routes to early power gain, follow those, ignore the marquee stuff and keep slowly grinding it out. The GLs get faster to acquire as you gain more, also dont forget to invest in your fleets

Yeah I’m an end game player and this era set up is atrocious. Pretty much I think you’ll be required to spend around $500+ per character as well as crystals if you want to keep up. It’s hard to say in these early days but ever with careful spending and crystal saving I’m guessing it will takes 6 months to a year per character.
