Also, for those with a zeta lead bossk, but your supporting cast are fairly weak:
Give everyone as many protection primary mods as possible to make up for the lack of gear tier. I have seen people beat 7* by even taking off a speed arrow on a gear 9 character for a protection arrow. This event isn't necessarily about speed...it can be beaten slowly and methodically
