Why do F2P players always have to let you know they're F2P?

Are F2P players the new vegan? Just about every thread has that one guy that pops in and says "I'm F2P blah blah and ea is just after my money blah blah oh did I say I was F2P, well I am..." Do...

more than curious. I dumped $200 into getting palpatine and still don't have him.

Yeah I was on the fence and happy I didn't make that jump, because I would have probably ended up in the same situation.
